Eve provides outstanding editing, writing, and advising expertise to Arthur Smith Advising students. A summa cum laude graduate of Cornell University with a double major in English and French and distinction in all subjects, Eve also achieved Phi Beta Kappa honors. She earned the terminal degree in her field, the MFA in Fiction writing, from the University of New Hampshire. Also a champion collegiate athlete, she earned CoSIDA Academic All-District First-Team and Academic All-Ivy honors while at Cornell.
Eve has significant mentoring experiences across a variety of disciplines. She’s advised high school students in the Cornell Summer College program, mentoring them to successfully complete their college-level summer courses. At the University of New Hampshire, she taught English Composition and Fiction Writing and was honored with the university’s prized Thomas Williams Memorial writing award. She also tutored both undergraduate and graduate students at UNH’s Connors Writing Center, working on projects ranging from personal statements to PhD dissertations. Eve has also held several editorial roles, including the position of poetry editor for Barnstorm Literary Journal and editor for the Cornell Health Careers Evaluation Committee, where she helped craft cohesive narrative letters on behalf of Cornell undergraduates applying to medical school.
A published poet, Eve is pursuing her PhD in French Language and Literature at the University of Chicago.
